Could you please confirm what firmware version is in use currently? If you’re using 7.18.3, could you confirm that the issue is apparent with 7.19.4 version as well?
Additionally, does performing a Bootloader reset or a factory reset on the device help with the situation, or has this been tried before? For the bootloader process guide, you can find it here: Bootloader menu - Teltonika Networks Wiki
I’m using stable 7.18.3 but this also occured in previous stable release. I didn’t do bootloader reset or factory reset but I think this should be the last step. On 7.16 it didn’t happen so some upgrades broke it.
As mentioned, could you try upgrading to 7.19.4 to see if the issue persists? If it does, we’ll move to a different communication channel and I’ll collect the logs from your device.
I’m not so fast with upgrading to not stable version, only 10days after release…I don’t want to have any other troubles. Router is far away from me. But I can check some logs or try to change configuration if you have any suggestions.
No worries, thanks for letting me know. Could you please clarify what are these end-devices that are losing connection to your RUTX50?
As for the configuration - a few things come to mind, such as heading to Network → Wireless → Radios and changing the 2.4GHz (or 5GHz) channels to 1, 6 or 11 (try out all of them and see if it helps). Additionally, if you have Fast Roaming enabled, you can try disabling that for testing purposes to see if the situation approves.
As for the logs, make sure to reproduce the issue, head to System → Maintenance → Troubleshoot → Download and within the troubleshoot file, open up the “System.log” file which will contain all of your devices logs. You can then look for Wi-Fi related errors there and even share them here. Just make sure to leave out any sensitive information, such as MAC addresses, IP addresses (Public ones), Passwords, etc.
of course I’ll try to collect the logs if it occurs. I’m using channel 11 as I read in other topic as possible solution. Most of these 2.4 devices work as IoT, camera, smart plugs or temperature sensors. after reboot it can work 1-2 weeks without any issues. Traffic is also the same all the time. no any additional peaks on it.
We do have a different communication channel whenever further analysis is required, however, in your case, could you please provide any updates on the situation?

You seem to be getting a lot of kernel-related error messages, I would recommend looking into Bootloader resetting your device to rule out any other external factors on your device & make sure that you upgrade to the latest available firmware version while in the process as well (this can be done through the bootloader menu as well).
Kindly let me know if the situation improves, and if it doesn’t, we’ll move to a different channel to investigate this further.
so the solution steps should be reset to factory default using bootloader option and after that upgrade to latest (7.20, not stable) release ? and recover configuration from backup ?
The bootloader reset prompts you to upgrade the firmware, which, in the process, will also hard-reset the device to factory defaults, so it’s a 2-in-1.
Do the process, check whether the issue occurs, the backup you have for your current FW will not be compatible (most likely) due to there being changes in the UI/Settings, etc.
Correct, but for your case, you can simply set up just the Wi-Fi to test if it starts working or not. If it ends up working, I recommend re-doing the configuration from scratch, since the backup may contain some type of configuration / files that might’ve caused the issue in the first place.
So, last question…There is no way to solve this problem without recovery, do this fully remotely, even with latest FW, there is no commit that such upgrade will solve it.
I understand your concerns 100%, if the bootloader reset + upgrade does not work out, you can simply downgrade to the firmware version you’re on currently, and re-apply the backup you’ve saved to restore the settings, in essence, nothing will be lost.
