Can you say the release date fw 7.5.?
Hello,
Unfortunately, not much can be done from here. If the issue continues, the suggestion is to contact your sales manager or the reseller from whom you purchased the device to initiate RMA procedure. More information on RMA can be found here.
Regarding the v7.5 Firmware, there is no fixed release date. If all goes smoothly, it should be released in the upcoming months.
Kind Regards,
Hi,
@AndzejJ “not much can be done from here” - Does it mean no patching is possible and new FW will not fix this issue/you can see it it is a hardware problem/operator network config issue? It’s a big difference for the users . if it is a op net config issue and device is healthy - I might live with it, if you know for certain device is buggered, well, it’s entirely different situation. Under the circumstances bit of disclosure would be helpful and go a long way goodwill-wise.
If this should be really the case - I don’t understand the reason for this forum here!
You see the same (really basic function) bug reported from different end users and want us to place different tickets from several sellers?
I think I’m ready to sell the router …
Best
Robert.
@anon2590016 I have to agree and add that I’m more than “a bit” miffed. In the end Teltonika provided no explanation for the root cause and only actual suggestion is to RMA, which a) fobs me back at the reseller - and they won’t take a “functional” device back - as there is no guarantee that error can be replicated, and if not, they just won’t take it back “it’s working fine, no?” b) there is no guarantee that the next device will work any better or at all, given RUTX50 history on this forum c) I have to bear the cost of shipping AND interim costs of finding another router white Teltonika deals with RMA - an unknown amount of time.
Overall, I’m extremely unlikely to buy another product or recommend their products to anyone, and that’s putting it mildly. Mind, I still think that “as is” hardware-wise it is a very nice router - but if it does not work… well, that’s a real lemon.
Live and learn. Better go Chinese indeed.
Hello,
Your issue may have multiple potential causes, making it challenging to pinpoint the exact reason without conducting further tests and in-depth analysis. The issue does not occur on the device normally. As mentioned earlier, while certain symptoms might appear similar, the underlying issues can often be different. For example, in Lodeon’s case, the issue he experiences should be resolved with v7.5 firmware.
We have also mentioned that, unfortunately, due to the public nature of this forum, we are unable to perform extensive troubleshooting or handle sensitive information. Thus, the best option in your case would be to initiate an RMA procedure.
Kind Regards,
IMO, there are bit too many posters going on about RUTX50 issues to say “issue does not occur on device normally”. Even if I RMA it, there is literally no guarantee that, excuse the pun, that new device will be issue-free. Incidentally, I’ve offered to provide additional information and/or better communication channel by filling in “Contact Us” form i have been directed to earlier - Teltonika still has not replied.
I don’t see it as a very productive activity to engage on this forum further.
Buying RUTX50 was a mistake. It is not a finished consumer product, more of a beta-version in development.
I tend to agree.
My LAN was mess last night. Normal reboots had no impact. Only a power cycle got it out of this mode. The issues never seem to end.
This is an impression of my LAN. I measure the energy consumption of all main consumers. Solid grey/yellow (yellow means item is ON) is a good connection. Black is no connection.
It was again a disaster. Perhaps one of the LAN ports failed which services my LAN, I don’t know. Only after a power cycle it came back. Rebooting the router had no impact…I drives me mad. I haven’t had a stable performance for more then 48 hours since a long time.
It seems that my connection to the tower was ok-ish:
The big gap is the power cycle I did. At the beginning of the night some disturbances with the connection but with the ping-reboot it re-established the connection somehow but upset the LAN performance after that
Never ending story.
firmware 7.04.5 is out , just loading it up now to see if its any better
I did the same. Today I’ll be travelling in Sweden, let see how my router will manage it
@anon2590016 Let me know! I’m in Sweden, Telenor SIM. Updated to 7.04.5 this morning, got a “regular” 3 SIM LED outage in the afternoon… reboot, all normal after. Will do a full reset and maybe re-install from cmd next week, just as an experiment.
Of course. I’ve a Halebop Sim running (=Telia) for 11 hours without „3 led blackout“
Mine has been suprisingly stable… not sure whether its related to the FW or whether its related to the fact that im now powering it using 24v Passive
I was travelling for 11 hours and then did camping for 2 days without freeze.
Today we start the next step our our Sweden tour. Let see how the box will behave
how are you powering yours while traveling ?
BAT120 - Teltonika battery
First freeze just after leaving Göteborg.
The system was stable enough to reboot on its own by ping request. This is new.
Two further freeze situations during our journey. The system wasn’t able to reboot by ping request.
New are multiple connections events to mobile provider without disconnect event.
This is new in this firmware.
Also could observe the following:
- mobile connection is established and internet is available
- the login to the front page (192.168.1.1) is possible but the the status pages and further are unreachable (the access takes longer than expected
on our journey I did some trials in Sweden and Denmark with and without the BAT120 supply. The router gets frozen on both electric supplies.
During the days there are some very hard freezes (only electricity cut helps) and also some where ping by request can reboot the box. Per day - approx 5-8 „dead box“ situations.
This router firmware is still beta in basic functionality. I’m in contact with my dealer to claim and to return this router.
