RUT-950 - Admin page not reachable after firmware update

Hello there,

I updated my RUT-950 using the firmware version RUT9_R_00.07.02.7_WEBUI and since then the wifi is now named UNKNOWN_0000 and I can’t access the WEBUI.

I tried to do a factory reset without success and when accessing it through SSH I have executed the command with this result :

root@Teltonika-UNKNOW:~# hexdump -C /dev/mtd1
00000000 ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff |................|
*
00000070 30 30 30 30 ff ff ff ff 30 30 30 30 ff ff ff ff |0000....0000....|
00000080 ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff |................|
*

What can I do? This router is critical for my use :frowning:

Thank you in advance for your help.

Use recovery method via “Bootloader Menu” described here:

RUT950 Device Recovery Options - Teltonika Networks Wiki

I pretty much did all the steps of this pages

If you did (but not mention in post #1  ) then only Teltonika can help - if at all.

Thank you for your reply !

In fact, yes I did it, I tried many firmware version, the best I could get was failed to load menu and failed to load options by looking at the logs it seem that the procedure get_board_info().hwinfo is a nil variable, this is beyond my willingness to debug. I didn’t do any modifications except trying different version of the firmware, an hand from @Marijus would be handy then as the product was just recently installed

I saw numerous post on the community that refer to the same errors tho.

Thank you for your reply @TeWe

Hi @FrenchCastle,

I see that you still have SSH access. Can you please execute the following command to help us understand if the device has lost its information or if there is another issue?

mnf_info -mtnwbv

Best regards,

Hello @Marijus,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I still manage to have SSH access (not all versions allowed me to get it but I manage to pinpoint versions that allowed me to keep this access).

Here is the result of the asked command line :

root@Teltonika-UNKNOW:~# mnf_info -mtnwbv
FFFFFFFFFFFF
000000000000
UNKNOWNXXXXX

0000
4.0.7

Thank you very much for your prompt reply !!

Best regards,
Francois

Hello there,

I filled out the form.

When could I expect this session to happen?

Best regards,
Francois

I also have a x12 with the same issue. Is this problem fixable?

It is but please open a new topic for your request.
You can still reference to this one.
Thanks.
