Since I cannot comment or follow up on the two threads linked below, I wanted to see if anyone would be able to provide an update or answer to them and Verizon compatibility with the Verizon network on the RUTX11.
We have been having several issues with Teltonika devices deployed in the field that use Verzion as the primary SIM provider, issues that we do not experience with AT&T SIMs (mostly SMS related). Have the issues above been resolved?
Through my SIM provider I have an open ticket with Verizon to troubleshoot the SIM issue, however it appears when a SIM is sent to the RUTX11, the device loses connection according to Verizon. This has been an issue across several Firmware versions, including the latest 7.06
I have taken the time to read the previous query from the old forum and note that we are already aware of this one and we’ve communicated the said issue as well with the LTE module vendor months ago.
Kindly upgrade the Modem Firmware of the devices that are having issues with Verizon operator to ensure that fixes will be applied on the previously known issues to it.
Steps:
Login to the WebUI of the device and navigate to System → Firmware → Update Firmware.
Choose the Update from Server option and make sure the firmware type is the Modem one.
Note: Make sure this will be done on a test environment and/or a test device so that it will not distrupt any of your active operation.
If the issue still persists, I recommend reaching out to your designated sales manager or reseller that you purchased the devices from, since this may require a deeper troubleshooting based on the issue you were having.

The test device I have been using already has the latest modem firmware.
However one of my colleagues was able to get an answer from their contacts, and it was determined that specifically SMS via CDMA SIMs are not supported on the RUTX11 modem, and our vendor has been supplying us with CDMA Verizon SIMs.
