Hi,
I am using a SBPC that has by default a serial console on a port with a microUSB connector. I was wondering if I can try to use my RUT956 modem to communicate with this port, from its USB-A port.
I have connected the RUT956 to the board using a USB-A to microUSB cable, but in Services->Serial Utilities, the USB adapter does not show up. Is this supposed to be the case?
To establish a serial connection, simply plug one end of the cable into the USB-A port on our routers and the other end into the Serial-capable device. The connection should be recognized instantly. Just refresh the Serial Utilities Page, and it should appear like this:
Ensure both devices are connected, and use the correct USB cable. Note that many USB-A to micro USB cables are designed only for power (charging) in most cases.
