TSW202 Filtering VRRP Multicast

I have deployed 2 Meraki MX appliances in a High Availability configuration with a TSW202 connecting both.

All port VLAN’s are identical and packet captures from the Meraki hardware shows VRRP multicast landing on the switch port but a TCP dump of the TSW shows zero VRRP packets.

This deployment worked when using an unmanaged TSW101 switch.

A previous user: TSW202 and KNX multicast appears to have run into a similar issue.

Why are multicast packets being filtered by the TSW?

Witch OS TSW2_R_00.01.02.1

Further testing showed that downgrading to R_00.01.02 appears to have solved this issue.

I can only theorize that adding the IGMP proxy feature may have broken multicast as this behavior was observed with the feature turned both on and off.

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are currently investigating this issue and will inform you as soon as we have concrete news to share.

Kind regards,

Hi all, I am the author of the above mentioned post related to KNX multicast issue. I would appreciate support by Teltonika experts very much here, because currently my TSW202 is completely useless inside my KNX smart home environment. Please solve or advice how to configure properly.

Hello,
you should try TSW 1.2.2 firmware. Some fixes with multicast were made.
