TRB142 Problem with RS232 over IP

Hello.

We are using the TRB142 to communicate with some pump controllers with RS232 modbus TCP.
Now we got some new TRB142 with a newer FW and know we cant get connection trough RS232 Over IP.

I have tried these new FW:
TRB1_R 00.07.05_WEBUI
TRB1_R 00.07.05.4_WEBUI
TRB1_R 00.07.06.2_WEBUI
TRB1_R 00.07.06.4_WEBUI
But cant get trough, but i can see that the TX: is counting up.

I have then testet with a modem with FW:
TRB1_R 00.07.04.5_WEBUI
With the same settings as the modem above, and here is no problems.

unfortunately i cant downgrade the modem to the one we know thats working.

I have tried with 3 different modems, and the only one working is the one with the “OLD” FW.

i cant figure out where the problem might be, but seems like some configuration in the “Over the IP Configuration” that dont seem to work like the old FW?

I have an additional note. You may try setting Flow control to None. This might help with the issue you are experiencing.

Is there a way to downgrade to TRB1_R 00.07.04.5_WEBU
we really need at way to get the modems to work.

Hi,

To downgrade the TRB142 firmware to version TRB_R_00.07.04.5, follow these simple steps:

1. Visit the following page: TRB142 Firmware Downloads

2. Scroll down to find TRB_R_00.07.04.5 and click on it to initiate the firmware download.
   

   

3. Now, go to your device’s WebUI and navigate to System → Firmware → Update Firmware.

4. Choose to update from the downloaded file, making sure to turn off the “keep settings” option.

I have tried this, but i am getting this error.

I can downgrade like this
TRB1_R 00.07.06.4_WEBUI
TRB1_R 00.07.06.2_WEBUI
TRB1_R 00.07.05.4_WEBUI
TRB1_R 00.07.05_WEBUI
but not down to
TRB1_R 00.07.04.5_WEBUI

If your device was made after November 2023, the latest firmware version that can be downgraded is 07.05. You can find more information about this on the following page: TRB142 Product Change Notifications.
