On 2024-09-20, I started noticing that one of my RUTX11 devices (firmware 7.09.1) started displaying a large spike in data usage every day at exactly midnight. I confirm that I am seeing this usage on the carrier’s portal as well, and they just billed me for a 3GB “top up” due to this.
IPv6 is disabled on this device, and I did not have any outages on the primary wired WAN connection during this time (I monitor it externally). I checked the failover rules (screenshot below) and they are the same as all the other devices I manage. Can’t figure out why this would suddenly be happening.
@Janmiguel Thank you. Let me know if you want a troubleshoot file from this device etc.
I checked again today, and I saw that the mystery data usage is gone. I had updated to 7.09.3 just around 2 days ago. So I do think that this was a bug in 7.09.1 maybe.
That is good to know. I also tested on 7.09.3 and observed zero to minimal mobile interface traffic while it acts a a back up WAN source. Let me know if any issues persists.
@Marija In the past 2 days I have sent several emails to community-networks@teltonika.lt with notes and some attachments about this issue (as instructed)
I just want to make sure they were received?
