Send SMS via HTTP command

good morning all :slight_smile:
need some help pls…
i run a rut956 and i did send automated status sms to my mobile - using the rut956. i did that via a http command:

http://192.168.190.2/cgi-bin/sms_send?username=admin&password=password&number=017212345678&text=RUT956 alive Statusmessage

i updated to 7.15 and since then this does not work anymore :frowning:

is there any easy way to send SMS again via the rut956 ?

Starting from firmware 00.07.14.0, the POST/GET services were completely withdrawn. You can find more details on this change here:

i downgraded to v 7.13.4 - but it still does not work - the functionality does not seem to be “back”.
any idea?

To clarify, this change was implemented due to security reasons, and we advise to use the newest RutOS version with our devices.

Can you advise why you are unable to utilize the new API functionality? As it is able to achieve the same things as the functionality you are describing.
Please advise if you need assistance with API, as I would be happy to assist.
