RUTXR1 L2TP/IPSec stopped after upgrade

Hello everybody,

After upgrading device firmware to RUTX_R_00.07.17.4 the L2TP/IPSec configured server stop functioning.

Tried to delete the configuration and to create it from scratch - no effect.

Did somebody face the same problem? Will appreciate any comments.

Thank you in advance

Dimitar

Greetings,

Could you please provide more information as to what exactly isn’t working? Could you possibly provide some screenshots while making sure that no sensitive information, such as public IP addresses or MAC addresses, is visible?

What firmware were you running before the upgrade?

M.

Same Problem had to go back to firmware version RUTX_R_00.07.11.3 on several sites to get it working again.

Was using inbound dialing in using L2TP/IPSEC

Looking at logs, it failing on the %any incoming when negotation during the L2TP.

it fails on firmware RUTX_R_00.07.18.3.

Could this plase be resolved as frimware updates fails this configuration.

Greetings,

A similar issue has been discussed on this particular thread: L2TP to PC RUTX50

Where a user has set up L2TP over IPSec, and the tunnels weren’t going up. The fix was to upgrade to the firmware version 7.19. Downloads can be found here: RUTXR1 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Greetings,

after upgrade to RUTX_R_00.07.19.1, L2TP/IPSec server functionality is restored, without making any changes in the configuration.

Dimitar

Glad to hear that the issue has been fixed, enjoy your setup!
