Today my RUTX50 downloaded new modem firmware. Now my 5g connection is terrible and the connection is constantly dropping. Is there a way to go back to the preview modem version please?
Current version that installed today is RG501QEUAAR12A11M4G_04.200.04.200
I can see my mobile data traffic is almost zero right after the time the update happened and now almost all traffic is routing down the WAN interface.
Hmmm it seems that earlier versions of the modem firmware (07) had issues with the N28 band, which is what I’m using. I wonder if that issue has crept back into v11.
I’m now also getting a reoccurrence of the ‘Mobile ESM reject cause: Multiple PDN connections for a given APN not allowed’ message that I got when I first go the router but which was fixed a few RUTOS versions ago.
So you are getting same errror now? Take a look if there are more than one mobile interface for same SIM card in WAN page.
Also, you said that WAN cable is inserted, if you did the update, all your traffic now going through WAN, because module became unreachable doing update. Maybe you can try to unplug WAN and check the behaviour?
Sorry, i called it a night yesterday. This morning it is the same. Disconnecting from 5g every 30 seconds or so, basically the 5g is unusable as it is so unstable.
I really need to know if it is possible to return to the ‘08’ modem firmware version and where can i get it from please.
I said “same software version here” - not more than that.
And reading about those issues here, I will definitively stay on 08. Not having a single 11 at this moment.
We will need a troubleshoot file to analyze the issue. I have sent you a form to fill out, and once completed, we will contact you privately. For the ticket ID, please use “7151”.
