Every time power is cut to the router i never know if the router will start up when power is restored.
Usually it starts up if you powercycle the device x amount of times but that could be once or 20 times before booting again.
The powerlight is on and if connected anything on a lan port the lan port light blinks green.
Every other light is of and it doesnt matter how long i wait the router will not come alive unless i power cycle x amount of times.
I have tested the update to the latest firmware and after that run a factory reset but that doesnt help.
Also when it is not working the resetbutton doesnt do anything either. Its only when the router is alive reset button actually restart or factory reset the device.
I reverted to firmware RUTX_R_00.02.06.1_WEBUI.bin and for a while it restarted after power lost but then after a couple of restarts it doesnt start unless i power cycle multiple times..
I have already tested to update to the latest firmware 7.13.4. I have done this twice once via via the admin webinterface and once via the bootloader interface. This didn’t change anything.
now that i downgraded 2.06.1 power cycle sometimes work and other times don’t but it works much more often then via the latest firmware
Hi, I have also tested to install new firmware via the bootloader menu both latest and older versions. But the result is the same. The initial restarts after a factory reset or bootmenu install sometimes work but then back to same problem.
It looks like I have the same problem, i’m on fw 07.14
after a powercycle only the power led is on. today after an hour without power i managed to get it on. yesterday it took me a day.. first time user of a used RUTX11..
It is the same behavior for me. Usually it works after long time without power but how long is that is needed i haven’t found out. Other then that multiple restarts util it powers on is a solution for me. How many can differ from 1 to 20 and on some occasions even more. Number of restarts is lower now that i have a older firmware but it could also be that i have another power supply in my house where i test it now. I guess another solution is to have a UPS so that the power isn’t cut that often.
Mine will come in my camper and will be almost always powered at 12V.
Do you know if the reboot schedule has influence in this behavior? (mine is set on at once a day (is this standard setting?))
mine is also in my caravan running on 12V power is still cut sometimes. I havent tested reboot schedule since i don’t think that the device starts so the scheduler is not running.
I have tested setting a reboot if ping to 1.1.1.1 failed but this is also not working if the device doesn’t power on.

I’ve received feedback from our RnD team — unfortunately, this appears to be a hardware-related issue. As a result, the only available solution for affected devices is to send them for RMA, if they are still within the warranty period.
