RUTX10 Wi-Fi hotspot disconnects intermittently

I bought a RUTX10 router in 2022 and I am very satisfied with it.
Here are the system details:
Firmware version: RUTX_R_00.07.18.1
Firmware build date: 2025-10-09 08:41:42
Kernel version: 6.6.96

For the past few days, I’ve been experiencing a strange issue with the Wi-Fi system. Specifically, the various devices connected via Wi-Fi frequently experience communication interruptions due to a loss of signal. To resolve this, I need to restart the router.
I haven’t found a solution to this issue!
Is my modem defective?
Or, could it be that after the recent update I performed a few days ago, some settings need to be adjusted?
The LAN interfaces are working perfectly.

Hi,

this seems the same problem I have. See here:
RUTX50 looses Wifi signal

Could you confirm that this seems to be the same problem?

Thanks, Martin

Hello Justinas,

Today, I am having this problem with my WiFi connection dropping again this morning.
I have the following TIKET since october 2025 :
Here is our email exchange with support: support@26113579.eu1.r.hubspot-inbox.com
I sent you the requested data on 28 Oct 2025 20:46:48. Since then, I have sent you six reminders. But I have NEVER received any response from TELTONIKA.
Your support system is really very poor.

Greetings,

Could you please check your spam or junk folders? I’ve sent emails on November 5th, 10th, and 13th but haven’t yet received a response.

In those messages, I asked for clarification on the following points:

  • What PSU is being used to power the devices;
  • How and where are the devices mounted?
  • Have you tried resetting the device to see if that resolves the issue?
  • Have you noticed any pattern when the issue occurs? Perhaps when aspecific device connects to the AP?
  • If possible please update the firmware version to the newest one, 7.19 to see if the issue persists.

Best Regards,
Justinas

Could you check your spam or junk mail folders?
Unfortunately, I receive so much spam that I don’t look at it anymore! I delete this folder regularly. Please give me the email address so I can add it to my whitelist.
Or try me to resend me the las email again. I will check in details the spam folder again.

In these messages, I asked you for details on the following points:*
Which power supply unit is used to power the devices?
I use the original power supply that came with my RUTX10.*

How and where are the devices mounted?
The device is placed in my office against a wall with a bracket.

Have you tried resetting the device to see if that solves the problem?
No, otherwise I will lose all my settings.

Have you noticed a pattern when the problem occurs? Perhaps when a specific device connects to the access point?
No, I have about twenty devices that connect via Wi-Fi. I just disabled 5G, which interferes with components that don’t support it.

If possible, please update the firmware to the latest version, 7.19, to see if the problem persists.
OK, I just upgraded from version 7.18.3 to the latest version.*
Thank you for your help and sorry for the SPAM issue!

Just for your information after the update 7.19 the problem persites!

Greetings,

I’ve sent you another email today. Please take a look when you have a moment.

Best Regards,
Justinas
