Hello, we have teltonika RUTC50 and RUTX50 and on RUTC50 we are losing mobile connection exactly every 2 hours. I have updated to new firmware same as on RUTX50. And it didnt help. FW : RUTX_R_00.07.16.3 | 2025.07.28 . Both have same mobile provider. (before i changed TPlink for RUTC50 it worked)
Good afternoon,
In your case, I would like to clarify whether low signal reconnect setting is switched on?
Also, do you use a manual APN? Are using Band lock functionality?
Have you tried resetting your device, advisably via bootloader method? This unique feature allows you to perform firmware update and reflash the device, which can potentially resolve the issue. Instructions on how to do so : RUTC50 Device Recovery Options - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Firmware : RUTC50 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Maybe try disabling the “Internet Status” feature?
Hello, i have APN auto, and now i changed to manual. with same settings as i have the other device (Rutx50). Low signal recconect is disabled on both devices. Band is set on auto.
I’havent tried resetting device with bootloader because i would have to set up everything again.
Will update again after 2+ hours so i can check if its still broadcasting. (every 2 hours it shutdown mobile connection) if someone reset power it goes back on.
Hi there,
You can save the backup file, that way you will not need to reconfigure it in the future.
However for testing purposes, I would like you to bootloader reset it, and then configure it again, as that may could be the resolution to your issue.

Arturas
Hi,
alright i’will try to do bootloader next week, because it has to work somehow this weekend.
Is it worth trying this from other topics?
Because if i connect ethernet connection it works without any problem, only mobile does drop after 2 hours.
Thanks
Much regards
I found a similar issue in the forum " RUTX50 continous lose of wan ip"
I implemented the solution for to that issue, and now the both routers have been running connected for more than 2 hours.
Adding the line option dhcp ‘0’ to the config interface ‘mob1s1a1’:
-
Log in to your router via CLI (more details here: Command Line Interfaces)
-
Run the command vi /etc/config/network
-
Locate config interface ‘mob1s1a1’ and press “i” to enter edit mode
-
Add the line option dhcp ‘0’ under the mobile configuration section
-
Press “Esc”, then type :wq and hit Enter to save and close the file
Hi there,
If the solution you tried has worked well for you, I recommend continuing to use the device as is without performing a bootloader reset. However, if you experience any further issues in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out, and we’ll be happy to assist you with additional troubleshooting.

Arturas
Hello,
Sorry i might have said it wrong. We are using most of the time Mobile interface and its dropping every 2 hours. And sometimes its connected via ethernet and that is working fine.
Just now i tried to do :
-
Log in to your router via CLI (more details here: Command Line Interfaces)
-
Run the command
vi /etc/config/network -
Locate
config interface 'mob1s1a1'and press “i” to enter edit mode -
Add the line
option dhcp '0'under the mobile configuration section -
Press “Esc”, then type
:wqand hit Enter to save and close the file
Now i will wait 2 hours and see if this solution works.
Much regards

Hello,
Adding option dhcp ‘0’ to mobile configuration section changed nothing, it still disconnect after 2 hours.
Did you reboot after the change to /etc/config/network?
Yes i did reboot it after i changed to etc/config/network
Hello,
i tried to add “option dhcp 0” again and it worked. But i dont know why, after 2 days, this option is gone from cli. (router is shutdown by fuse, because its in a car)
