When I run the hotspot on rut955 (RUT9_R_00.07.06.16) I can’t access the webui from the lan side.
Hotspot instance is on the lan interface
Hotspot network is 192.168.2.0/24, IP 192.168.2.254,
lan 172.24.0.0/24 IP 172.24.0.1
Please advice how to get the webui from the lan side.
To enable access to the WebUI from the LAN side when using a hotspot on your RUT955, please follow these steps:
Delete your current Hotspot instance.
In the WebUI, navigate to Network → Wireless. Click Add, then specify the SSID and password, and attach it to the LAN network. Don’t forget to Save & Apply.
Return to Services → Hotspot, create a new instance on the newly created wireless interface, and configure it as before.
If the issue persists, try performing a factory reset on the device and reconfigure it from scratch.

Thanks for the quick reply. Creating a second wifi interface is a smart solution. Is it possible to access WebUi when there is only one interface and the hotspot user (192.168.2.0/24) has the ability to access WebUi by providing a LAN IP that is from a different network (172.24.0.1)?
The Hotspot instance should indeed be created on the wireless LAN interface (such as wlan0 or wlan0-1). Could you clarify which “one interface” you are referring to – are you asking about the LAN interface or the WLAN (wireless LAN) interface?
If you’d like to access the router’s LAN IP address (172.24.0.1) and WebUI from the Hotspot side, you can do so by navigating to Network → Firewall → General Settings. In the “hotspot” zone’s settings, add the LAN zone in the Allow forward to destination zones field and set Input to Accept.
