Good morning everyone,
Device: RUT906
Firmware tested: 07.20.3, 07.19.3, 07.18.3
I am configuring a RUT906 router. The specific firmware version is not critical, but I would prefer to use a recent one.
I am experiencing an issue related to time synchronization via GPS. The device is unable to update its date and time using GPS information.
Configuration details:
-
GPS antenna correctly connected to the device
-
GPS service enabled
-
GPS fix verified in Services → GPS → Map (fix is acquired and works correctly)
-
Time synchronization via GPS enabled
-
Update interval set to every 5 minutes
Issue description:
-
After waiting more than 5 minutes, the date and time are not updated
-
Rebooted the device and waited again more than 5 minutes → no change
-
From the CLI, running
gpsctl -sreturns0, as if no GPS fix were available
I tested the same procedure on all the firmware versions listed above, with identical results.
As a last test, I installed an older firmware version 07.09.3, and with this version GPS time synchronization works correctly. However, this firmware is too old for my use case, and I would strongly prefer a newer release.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue or found a solution/workaround for newer firmware versions?
Thank you in advance for your support.
