RUT241 - Internal modem is unreachable

Hi,

I have a RUT241 which is on the latest firmware: RUT2M_R_00.07.11.3 and unfortunately it displays the message “Modem is unreachable”. I did some research and stumbled upon this PDF from Teltonika (albeit a different model) which suggest the modem firmware may need to be flashed.

The cellular chip is a SLM750 MEIGLink and when I do “lsusb” in the CLI I can see the following: “Bus 001 Device 008: ID 05c6:9008” which suggests it can be recovered.

When I run “modem_updater -s” I get the following "[INFO] Looking for EDL devices.
Found EDL device: /sys/bus/usb/devices//1-1” does this mean it’s in EDL Mode? Is it possible to recover the device?

Yes, the modem is in EDL mode and can be recovered.
