I would like to integrate a rut241 into the RMS. The router has an internet connection, but when I add it to the portal I always get an error, password incorrect. What password is required to register it with RMS? I’ve tried everything but nothing works. Firmware also already up to date
To integrate your RUT241 router into the RMS (Remote Management System), you need to use the current admin password. By default, this password is displayed on a label on the back of the device. If you have changed the password via the WebUI, please use the updated password.
For additional guidance on adding devices to RMS, you can refer to the following resource: How to add devices to RMS.

I have already tried it. Also reset everything and set it up again. However, I always get the error in the Rms ‘The device password that was inputted has nod passed validation…
Okay then factory reset the box (new standard local admin password will be the one from the sticker underneath) and then add it with this one to RMS prior to re-configure all your settings.
I have tried again, the first time I log in to the Web UI I am asked to change the password. I changed one place, tried to integrate it into the RMS again, again the error.
In the WEB UI it says under RMS Failure (other Error)
I have tested that the router’s internet is working properly.
Okay.
I assume your router’s internet is via mobile connection.
Just for adding to RMS - by any chance, can you connect RUT241‘s WAN port via cable to an existing network so that it goes online via that cable instead of mobile?
No special config required as WAN is set to DHCP in a default config and has a higher priority than mobile connection.
Worth testing?
I have also tried this, have tried it again with Wan
The router is connected to WAN, it also shows this in WEB Ui and is set to Prio 1.
Something has now changed in the Web UI, under RMS under Connection there is now an error (Device is not registered in RMS) However, the router is registered in the RMS portal in exactly the same way, all numbers etc. match. It is only displayed in grey and as not activated. Unfortunately, deleting the router in the portal and adding it again has not helped.
Okay, that‘s a good step forward.
There’s a few options now:
From within RMS you can use the Password Manager if required to push a new admin password.
But I guess that‘s not the problem at the moment as the device popped up in RMS now.
Also make sure that your management packs and services for this device in RMS are set correctly and are enabled.
Last but not least, you can remove and re-add the box to RMS as a last step.
But Mgmt Packs and Services always beed to be set correctly of course!
The device does not appear in the RMS web portal. This error message only appears in the settings on the web UI of the router. Here are a few screenshots.
