RUT240: Unable to update firmware, getting error "The uploaded image file does not contain a supported format."

I have tried to update the firmware on my RUT240 by downloading the latest FW (RUT2_R_00.07.06.13_WEBUI.bin) from https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT240_Firmware_Downloads, then going to the Web UI, navigating to System / Firmware, selecting “Upgrade from file”, “Choose file”, selecting the downloaded FW file (RUT2_R_00.07.06.13_WEBUI) and pressing Upgrade.

This leads to the following error message being shown: “The uploaded image file does not contain a supported format.”

What might be going wrong here and what can be done about it? Thanks!
