Hello,
This is a known issue with a certain model of internal modems. It is not related to the CPU usage or operation of the device. There were a few reports regarding this issue:
Hi everyone,
I own a RUT241 with FW RUT2M_R_00.07.06.1, and the mobile RSSI periodically drops from -70 to -111dBm for no reason:
[MobileRSSI]
When the signal drops to -111dBm, all signal level LED are also turned off, but the mobile connection stays active (no disconnection).
Let me know if I you need debug logs to track this bug.

I’m using the power adapter that was provided with the router.

Hi,
In one of my RUT951 devices i’ve got an issue with mobile signal after firmware update to latest firmware RUT9M_R_00.07.06.3
Mobile data is connected but when i check the data transmission data I see signal RSSI change from -48 to -111 dbm. Device do not loose conection but I see this variation.
It only happens in this device wich is the only one have SLM750-VE modem. I have more 3 devices with other modem model from Quectel and this is not happening.
In fact, on another device I have, a…
Since I upgraded fw on my rut241 to 07.06 and 07.06.1, mobilesignal has been unstable.
Every 8-10 seconds the signal drops to -111dBm and all the signal strength leds on the router go off. Signal are gone a couple of seconds, then back to normal again. After a while it’s gone again.
I rolled back fw to 07.05.4 and then it’s working perfect again.
I have updated with keep settings off every time.
Seems to be something wrong in the new fw, or is it something else?
Our and modem manufacturer RnD teams are working on this issue and hopefully we will have a solution soon.
I’d like to reiterate, that this is only a visual issue and does not affect the device mobile connection performance at all.
Thank you for reporting the issue!
Best regards,
