I am contemplating buying a RUT-200 and I would like to connect a simple kind of phone to it, like a VOIP phone of some sort. But I read elshwhere on this site that the RUT-200 cannot make outgoing calls?
Does this mean I would not be able to make any calls using a VOIP phone, only receive them?

With an external VOIP phone, you can make and receive calls easily as we have VoLTE functionality.

No, the router uses this number and is the only piece of equipment that can make calls or send SMS messages using it. VOIP phones are separate Ethernet devices that make phone calls over an internet connection. Each VOIP phone connects through a VOIP service provider, which you access by logging into the VOIP phone or using specific software. Therefore, the VOIP phone operates independently of the router. I see, I was hoping to use the routers number and be able to use the router to route incoming and outgoing calls to devices of my choice.
