Routers not connecting to RMS

Hi,

We have ~90 RUT240/241. Right now, half of these are shown as offline in RMS, even though they are still transmitting data from their connected devices, and responding to text-messages.
It seems the RMS connection log is getting spammed with:

Common for all is that it started around 0730 CET this morning.
We need to be able to access these routers urgently.
My trust in the Teltonika service offering is being shaken on top of the much too long maintenance period the other day.

Hi @christiangruner,

same here. Half of my routers have the red dot but I can’t reach
the green ones either. I tried SMS command “rms_off” and after
a couple of minutes “rms_on” and now this one went red too.

Wanted to to some maintenance today. Annoying.

Update on Current Situation

Following recent maintenance, we encountered unexpected issues with connections from devices using older firmware versions, initially identified as versions prior to 07.07. The system experienced difficulty managing the abnormal connection attempts from these devices, leading to unstable connectivity across the platform.

Over the weekend, we implemented a temporary solution to stabilize the system while our team continues developing a more robust, long-term fix. This has allowed many devices to reconnect, though full operational performance has yet to be fully restored.

For critical devices, a potential temporary workaround is to retry connecting to RMS through WebUI, CLI, or SMS commands where applicable.

We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Further updates will be shared when system stability is fully achieved.

Hello I have the same problem and my RUT955 is on the latest firmware available R00.07.06.16

Olso the reconnect function isn’t working.

Please confirm if you have followed all the steps provided in this forum thread. If not, kindly try them and let me know if it helps.

If the issue persists, please check the “Connection state” shown in the WebUI on the RMS configuration page. Alternatively, you can check the RMS status via SMS by sending <router_password> rms_status, and let me know the result.

I can do that but then is my Management pack gone.

The management pack will remain assigned to the device until it expires, so there is no need to worry about this.

It didn’t work. I had to factory reset the Teltonica and restore the backup, and now it works.
