MQTT Broker won’t allow any edits to the configuration

I have the same problem as described here:

I use the latest firmware (state 02.01.2024) on RUTX09.
Every time I want to make a change in the UI I get this error message: Failed to edit configuration

Hello,

Can explain (or send a screenshot) your MQTT Broker configuration on your device for me to check what seems to be the issue that was causing this.

In addition, did this issue occur before? or your setup was working just fine then suddenly you cannot modify the configuration in the WebUI? I wanted to check if you did some other configuration that triggered this issue and if it was a bug.

Best regards,
Rob

Hi, this error occurs on every change I want to make to the broker.
I had never used the broker in the past and it was disabled.
The simplest example therefore is to just turn on the broker with the default configuration.
In the SSH console I get the error messages shown in the screenshot above, if I click on “save & apply”. I don’t know if that is related.

If I start the broker manually in the SSH console “mosquitto -c /etc/mosquitto/mosquitto.conf” no error message is shown

Hello,

It seems like there are some issues regarding uhttpd based on the given screenshots, but cannot confirmed yet. But kindly try restarting both the uhttpd and mosquitto services through CLI using the commands below:

/etc/init.d/uhttpd restart
/etc/init.d/mosquitto restart

I conducted a little test on my side where I used a RUTX11 running the FW: 07.05.4 to see if I can recreate the issue that you’re having but I didn’t managed to do so. I can change some configurations in the WebUI successfully while running mosquitto clients at the background.

Kindly try if restarting the services mentioned above will allow you to change the configuration again.

Best regards,
Rob
