I read on the forum that I’m not the only one experiencing this mishap, and the unfortunate situation where one discovers this, is when the factory reset is already done.
Fortunately, the original RUT_EBEC_2G and RUT_EBD_5G network passwords were stored, and the default config is something workable, so I have been able to survive over the year end hollidays, but now I really want to resolve the issue and be able to access the RUTX50 in order to restore the backup.
I understand that you need a login and serial number, and the one I see on my router invoice from Teltonika reseller Diversitas Hamburg GmbH is “ASIN: B0BGCG9Y95”, which is a bit strange, as I cannot enter this serial number on the RMS web site to add my device, which I thought was a good test.
Please help.
Hello,
If you know your current device admin password, you can try accessing the device CLI via SSH and executing the following command to retrieve the serial number:
mnf_info -s
This should display the serial number for your RUTX50 device.
If you need further assistance or have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Kind regards,
There is some confusion here.
I thought I needed to provide you with the serial number in order to get to get the default login/password after a factory reset.
I can mail you the original invoice, maybe this als helps prove I am the legitimate owner of the device.
Best regards — peter
Hello Peter,
In your case, as I understand, if the back label is completely scratched, you will need to contact your reseller first. They should be able to assist you in verifying ownership and providing the necessary information.
Best regards,
Hi Martynas,
I looked up the invoice and the reseller is Diversitas Hamburg GmbH in Hamburg. It was impossible to contact this reseller.
The current reseller for the purchased item has been changed on Amazon, and is now Getic in Lipaja - which seems to be the European distributor.
Do I have to contact Diversitas or Getic, and if I have to contact them, do you have an email address, because Amazon is really not very helpful in contacting a reseller.
This is also getting rather complicated. I could PM you the invoice as well, would that help in order to get support?
Thanks.
In RUTX50 default password lost / label scratched the exact same scratched label problem gets solved rather fluently.
Is that solution still available?
Kind regards
Thank you for escalating this, I’ve been called by someone respresenting Teltonika and this will be handled further through email.
So I guess this ticket can be closed.
Cheers! – peter
