As an alternative I’d like to use my phone as WAN. When I connect through cable I cannot find my phone in order to choose it as WAN.

USB tethering is not supported on the RUTX50, so it’s not possible to provide internet access to the device via the USB port. However, you can share a hotspot from your phone and connect the RUTX50 to it using WiFi by configuring WiFi as WAN.

The problem with this is that when I remove the phone it will not automatically connect as a Wan-source when back to the router. I have to remove the phone, scan 2,4GHz and connect again.
