the link you sent me leads to a selection of several files that I can download.
you do not explain which of the files I should use?
Please note that your customers cannot send you a screenshot, so please be very precise in the description of what needs to be done.
you don’t explain if the Mac accepts these files at all?
You should download the latest firmware version for your RUTX12 (RUTX_R_00.07.13.2_WEBUI.bin file) from the following link: Download Firmware
Once you click the link, the file will automatically download to your device.
On your PC, you don’t need to open this file. File will be required when you enter the bootloader menu. Follow the steps outlined here: Bootloader Menu Guide
After completing the steps, open 192.168.1.1 in your browser. You will see a button allowing you to upload the firmware.
Let me know how it goes, and if you will still need help, we can organize a remote session.
Hello,
Thank you very much.
I need some time to find someone who has a Windows computer.
It may take me another 3 weeks or longer.
I will get back to you.
Yours sincerely,
hallo
i tried yesterday.
What is the right password?
admin
admin01
?
is windows 10 OS a special one or is it possible to the job with windows 10 what a normal user has?
Greetings
If your device is from an older batch, the default password might be admin01. However, to be sure of the correct password, you can find it on the back panel of your router.
To access the Bootloader menu, you will need a PC with an Ethernet port to connect the router via Ethernet cable. Once the router is connected to the PC, please follow the steps provided here: RUTX12 Device Recovery Options - Bootloader Menu.
192.168.1.1 is the default IP address for the router’s WebUI.
Could you please try resetting the router to factory defaults as described here? After resetting, try logging into the WebUI using the username “admin” and the password provided on the back panel of the router.
Hello, I would like to try restarting the router with the software again.
Before that, I would like to know from you whether multiple attempts with repeated factory reset and password entry can lead to the router no longer starting at all.
I would also like to know whether an activated virus software can damage the restart when trying to start the router with the software. Can a restart with the virus software switched off then still be successful?
Greetings K Lahoti
You can safely recover your router using the Bootloader menu.
Regarding the firmware, please ensure that you download it only from our official wiki page: RUTX12 Firmware Downloads. Files provided there are verified, free of viruses, and safe to upload to your RUTX12 device.
It did not work.
As a layman and with the Windows system, it doesn’t work.
I need a specialised company to put the router back into operation.
Please name a company in Germany that I can contact?
Alternatively in Catalonia (Valencia) Spain?
Greetings Krishna
Apologies if I misunderstood your situation. I assumed that you had already tried accessing the bootloader menu and were still unable to reach your router or fix the problem. If that is the case, you should contact your reseller regarding the RMA process.
However, if that’s not the case and you’re simply unsure how to access the bootloader and update the firmware, please help clarify by answering the following questions:

Do the LEDs behave as described in the instructions on that page? If not, could you describe how the LEDs are behaving?
Thank you for your feedback.
You probably sell a considerable number of your very expensive products to amateurs who, for example, operate your routers in motorhomes and if they have a problem - even with the initial installation - then they have to deal with other amateurs to get help.
You only advertise on the Internet, but you don’t help.
Thank you very much for the support, the time we both spent on this could have been used in other ways.
Regardless, there are solutions like Teamviewer.
But ….
Your technical questions are pointless…
How many times do you think I’ve tried to establish contact between the router and computer in all possible ways?
Surely you realise that a Windows computer doesn’t make things any easier with its peculiarities.
I received the email and replied to it yesterday - 28 April morning. My proposed appointment was today at 12 noon Spanish time. I have not received a reply and now I do not know if the appointment can take place.
