Hello,
Unfortunately, we do not have access to the client’s routers, and as a result, we are unable to make any changes directly to the device. It is not possible for us to enter the authentication code into your device’s WebUI remotely.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Best regards,
Hello,
It’s not about accessing the router, but entering the code via the RMS interface. I can’t even access it with VPN.
The authentication code for RMS should be entered in the WebUI under Services → Cloud Solutions → RMS. This requires either remote access to the router’s WebUI or local access to the device.
As mentioned earlier, unfortunately, we do not have access to the router’s WebUI in this case.
Best regards,
Hello,
What is the WebUI? I can’t find these settings.
I can only access them from here.
Teltonika RMS | Remote management system
The WebUI refers to the web interface of the device, where you can log in, make configuration changes, check the status, and more. For detailed instructions on how to log in to the device’s WebUI, please refer to the Quick Start Guide on our wiki: Login to Device.
Once you are logged in, navigate to the page I mentioned earlier (Services → Cloud Solutions → RMS), enter the authentication code for RMS, and click Connect to initialize the connection between your device and RMS.
Best regards,
Hello,
That’s the problem, I can’t access the WebUI. How can I access it remotely?
Regarding remote access, we also have a dedicated wiki page that might be helpful: Remote Device Access.
To summarize, you can access the WebUI remotely if the device has a public IP on its WAN interface and remote access is enabled. Alternatively, remote access can be set up via RMS without a public IP, but since your device is not currently connected to RMS, this option is not suitable in this situation.
Best regards,
Can you ask someone on-site to do it for you?
Probably easiest way.
Change admin password afterwards and you’re good to go.
nfortunately, that is not possible. I would have already arranged that.
The big question is where to find the authentication code in RMS?? It is not shown in the RMS device information? I checked all possible pages but couldnt find it.
Hello @mr.lyall ,
For instructions on obtaining the authentication code, please refer to this post: RUT142 can’t add the device to RMS - #3 by Marija.
If you still encounter any issues, please let me know.
Best regards,
The picture you have shown is not present on my RMS page. I set the RUT200 back to factory settings and unregistered the device and reregistered. But the problem remains.
From the picture, it looks like the device status is “Not Activated.” Could you please check it?
To activate the device, you can:
<WebUI_password> rms_connect
.If the issue persists, please let me know the status of RMS. You can check it by:
<WebUI_password> rms_status
.Best regards,
I have tried all this before, several times. It wouldnt work. Now i just waited and it is now connected. Thank you for your support!
PS: i still can not find the authentication code to enter it manually.
I disconnected the LAN connection to the RUT and again, the device is trapped in a authentication loop.
If I understand correctly, the issue is not yet resolved.
Could you please let me know the Connection State you see in the WebUI?
Best regards,
Like i mentioned before, there is no authentication key in the webUI and the RUT is trapped in a loop. Also there is no way to find out the authentication code in the RMS ui.
The erroe seems to be the same all day long. Please provide the information where to obtain the authentication code. If you dont know. Please inform your dev team asap to implement it to the device information. !!!
FYI:
We want to implement this device for remote support. If the device needs more support then our machines, i fear we have to find a different supplier.
