Enter the old authentication code manually from you

Could you please confirm if this is the first time you are registering this device to RMS? If not, has this device successfully connected to RMS in the past?

For RMS connection, your RUT200 needs to have a WAN Internet connection. Please ensure that your device has access to the Internet.

Additionally, double-check that all router parameters and the router password were entered correctly when attempting to register it in RMS.

Regarding the authentication code, I have already provided the only method to obtain it in my first reply. If the issue is related to the authentication code, the WebUI would display an error specifically mentioning authentication.

Please let me know how it goes. If you still need assistance, I can send you a form for private communication to obtain some sensitive information about your device.

Best regards,

Good morning Marija, the RUT200 is using wifi to connect to the internet and in the future we want to use the LTE connection.

Is it really only possible using the WAN port?

It is not the first time i had this device registered to the RMS. Two days ago it was working quite well (only 15 minutes until online) but now it is not working.

Hello,

By “WAN internet”, I meant any type of internet connection that the router can access (this could be via Ethernet (WAN port), WiFi, or mobile data). So, a WiFi as WAN connection is also acceptable. The most important thing is that the router has an active internet connection.

  1. Could you please confirm that your router currently has an active internet connection? For example, you can log in to the CLI (CLI Guide) and run the command:
    ping 8.8.8.8

Are the pings successful or not?

  1. You mentioned that the device was online in RMS two days ago. Have you unregistered and then re-registered it in RMS since then? If so, could you please double-check and confirm that you entered the router’s serial number, LAN MAC, and password correctly?

  2. Additionally, if this is not your first free month for monitoring the device, please ensure that you have credits available in RMS.

Best regards,

Hi again and first of all, happy new year.

So, i have the RUT connected to internet via wifi01 and the ping is successfull.

Also i have un- and reregistered the RUT several times. Also after adding the device to multiple companies i was able to finally find the authenthication code like you said before. i added this code on the rms page on the routers ui and still it is not connecting to the rms.

I have registered the device several times and still i am getting this message when i open the cloud-solutions page:

Hello and Happy New Year!

Regarding the “device not registered” issue, please check via the RMS platform if the device information (serial number and MAC address) is entered correctly. Also, ensure that the device password has been typed accurately.

It would be helpful if you could unregister the device, register it back to RMS, and carefully verify all the information entered.

Please let me know what status you see for the registered device in RMS:

If all device information is entered correctly, and in RMS you see a gray dot with the status “Not Activated,” but in WebUI you still see a notification about the device not being registered, please close the notification and press the “Connect” button.

If the issue persists, kindly let me know the connection state shown in the WebUI.

Best regards,
