Do I need to attach wifi antennas to RUTX50

I have just purchased a RUTX50 and installed it at a holiday home. Do I need to attach the two wifi antennas or can I use the RUTX50 without these antennas attached? Will wifi reception in the holiday home be downgraded if I don’t attach these antennas? If the answer is to attach these two wifi antennas, what is the best way to deploy them? e.g. spread them out, mount them high, use an extension cable to run them to other rooms etc

Hello…
You answer is at Google…

WiFi devices with antennas can have better signal strength and range than those without antennas:

  • Range: External antennas can extend the coverage area of a WiFi network, allowing users to connect from farther distances.
  • Signal quality: External antennas can improve signal strength and reduce dead spots.
  • Directional vs. omni-directional: External antennas can be directional, focusing the signal in a specific direction, or omni-directional, broadcasting the signal in all directions.
  • Ease of integration: External antennas are generally easier to integrate than internal antennas. They are plug-and-play solutions that don’t require design issues like sizing and PCB board space availability.
  • Cost: Internal antennas are generally less expensive than external antennas.
  • Built-in vs. replaceable: Internal antennas are built into routers, access points, or network adapters, while external antennas can be added or replaced.
  • Weak antenna design: A weak antenna design can cause weak throughput and packet loss. It’s easy to replace a built-in antenna with a more powerful design.

Thanks.
But the password doesn´t work.
The factory default reset also didn´t replace the login.
It is not the first router of Rutronik that i use.
In the past I had never this problem.

Hi…
Look below your device…
You have the default password printed there!

If you expect WiFi then you will need to attach the WiFi antennas. No need to be running extensions to another room, defeats the purpose and would kill the signal anyway. Simply screw them straight on and see what reception you get? If you need to extend/separate the antennas then look at something like a PR1KC640 or similar. Some further discussion

OMG. You are right.
Thanks.
The default PW wasn´t the published in the manual.
