Wireless mesh with two TAP400 only, behind a third-party router (no RUT/RUTX) — possible?

**•	MikroTik ATL 5G = gateway + DHCP server (192.168.88.x)**

**•	TAP400 #1 = connected to the MikroTik via Ethernet (wired root / mesh portal), bridging the wired LAN into the 802.11s mesh**

**•	TAP400 #2 = joins the mesh wirelessly to extend Wi-Fi coverage to other rooms**

**•	Single SSID, fast roaming (802.11r) between both units**

**•	All clients get their IP from the MikroTik’s DHCP**

My questions:

**1.	Is this supported? Can a TAP400 act as the wired root/portal node of an 802.11s mesh when the gateway is not a Teltonika device?**

**2.	Does a TAP-only mesh (no RUT/RUTX) work, or is a Teltonika RUT/RUTX router required as the mesh gateway?**

**3.	If supported, is there a configuration guide for this exact setup (TAP-only mesh behind a third-party router)?**

Home is ~125 m² (single floor).

Thanks in advance!
