I’m using one wireguard instance to connect to a lot of devices using a RUTX08. The problem is that I can’t register any more now, 247 seems to be a limit in the GUI. Is it possible to increase this limit? Or can I add more peers using CLI?
It is not easy for me to add a new wireguard instane, since I want to use the same IP range for all my peers.
I can confirm that the GUI has limitation on how many peers you can add to the instance.
It is difficult to gauge it due to different technical specifications for devices.
There is no way to increase that limit.
In your case, you will need to create another wireguard instance, to split peer load across them manually.
Good afternoon Arturas,
Thank you for your answer. Will it work to add another Wireguard instance, that use the same subnet 10.2.X.Y? I’m just afraid that the RUTX08 will have difficulties to route the traffic to the correct WG instance. Peers on the first WG instance has to be able to communicate with peers on the second WG instance as well.
As i am not aware of your setup, i am not entirely sure if thats the right Ip, however the instance has to be identical to one you have created now, you will only need to to split peer load across them.
