Hello,
I have a very specific network configuration that I would like to test with a RUTX50. So far this is my first Teltonika device and i need help. I got the same network configuration running with a Mikrotik Chateau. Neither Google, the community search here or the instructions from Teltonika helped me.
Long story short …
PPPoe on the WAN interface (dialup1)
Mobile connection via SIM (dialup2)
Both dial-up connections end on the same BRAS. This works quite well so far …
In addition to these connections, I have a Wireguard tunnel that is also terminated on the BRAS device. This works well with the failover mechanism. If PPPoe is interrupted, the wireguard tunnel immediately switches to the mobile connection.
Wireguard network 10.0.0.0/28
RUTX50 Wireguard address 10.0.0.1/28
But the last step gives me a lot of trouble … how is it possible to simply bridge the wireguard tunnel over the lan ports.
As an example, I want to have a device on lan port 3 with the address 10.0.0.5/28.
I have clicked through all the menus in the web interface and then analysed what changes are made in /etc/config/network etc…
I don’t want to do any fancy firewall stuff or NAT, just want to get the 10.0.0.0/28 network on the lan ports.
It doesn’t matter how I create the extra bridge, it immediately goes into the ‘down’ status with the note ‘Network Device is not present’.
I’m also wondering how to add the ports. I have tried adding the ports directly in the bridge menu or via the /etc/config/network file. In the file I have set the ifname for the port and then entered the port under device ‘bridge’ under ‘list ports’. None of this matters …
If that would work, the wheel would go on, because I would actually want to lock it in a VRF, but I’m refraining from doing that because it doesn’t work as it is.
