Which firmware is recommended for RUT241: "Latest FW" or "Mass Production FW"?

Hi

I’m currently looking to update the firmware on our Teltonika RUT241 routers. When I visit the download page (RUT241 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki), I see two distinct options:

  • Latest FW
  • Mass Production FW

Could you please clarify which of these firmware versions is generally recommended for deployment in production environments? Our customers are asking us for the manufacturer’s official recommendation, and we want to ensure we’re providing them with the most stable and appropriate firmware for their needs.

Any guidance on the differences between these two versions and their intended use cases would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi,

If you want to play safe when use mass production FW.

Latest FW, contains latest changes, improvements, fixes, etc. but it could still contain some undiscovered bugs.

Good afternoon,

As @lemondude advised above.

When it comes to Teltonika advice, we always recommend to install the newest available FW, whether it is Latest FW, or Mass Production FW.

Regards,
Arturas

Thank you for your reply regarding the firmware!

I understand now that Teltonika always recommends using the newest available firmware for the RUT241, whether it’s labeled “Latest FW” or “Mass Production FW.” That’s very clear and helpful.

I really appreciate the quick explanation!
