WebUI OTD500 no autofill possible in Chrome

Hi,
I’d like to use my password manager in Chrome unfortunately the two input fields for user an password are not recognized by Chrome as input type for credentials. It worked on a older Firmware version for sure as I’ve already hav my credentials in the password manager in Chromes saved. I just cannot call them. The fields do not even offer autofill with right-klick.

Any ideas on how to solve this?
Best regards, Jan

Hi,

Same issue, but it’s only when using https, when using http it show credential selection on Chrome.

Well, I think this issues comes up since RutOS 7.15, which forces https and skips http. So with that I’m not able to use the password manager by Chrome itself.
In my case it’s the OTD500: OTD500 Product Change Notifications - Teltonika Networks Wiki

What I found is If the HTTPS certificate is invalid or self-signed, the password manager won’t trigger.

So you need to download certificate from router and import it to your computer. And then Chrome will detect that certificate is legit and show credential selection when using https.

Well this is doing well as a workaround, of course this is something to do an every pc you’d like to access the Teltonika device, and if using different browsers do it there again.

Go to System → Zertifikate → tick in the box and export to download the uhttpd.crt to your computer as *crt file.

To import an HTTPS certificate in Chrome, go to Settings → Privacy and security → Security → Manage certificates, click Import, and follow the wizard to locate and import your certificate file. Ensure that you change the file type to match your certificate (e.g., .pfx or .p12) when browsing, enter the password if required, and select the appropriate certificate store (like “Personal” for client certificates).

It’s also possible to expose the Teltonika device to the internet (e.g. ddns service or fixe route) and do a let’s encrypt cert, but i don’t like to do this within my network.
