WebUI error after login - RUT956

Hi,
I am using multiple routers of type RUT956, firmware: RUT9M_R_00.07.11.
3 of them are having an issue with the webUI: when I correctly insert the credentials in the login page, a “loading” widget appears, but then instead of bringing me to the overview page of the device’s dashboard, the website remains stuck in the login page.

If I use the devTools of chrome, I can see the following errors when I press the login button:

Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: “script-src ‘wasm-unsafe-eval’ https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/ ‘sha256-LV+4Blj3LIWsLHvvq37tdHwBQpq6ZOI+wHw3XeGsJzM=’ ‘self’ ‘sha256-8yE2w7Bv8/Il8SvtEkB35j3QNRei9CKtdX8HgqblU04=’ ‘sha256-Pv4HyWUIdh/mQalp8JMzRdM1eTkfzYhRRnW/9m4pzQ8=’ blob:”. Either the ‘unsafe-inline’ keyword, a hash (‘sha256-/83V68bpILlL4sGTUJ9oviiw3La/Bskmmf83WaWOw9I=’), or a nonce (‘nonce-…’) is required to enable inline execution. → the related element is:

Failed to load resource: api/session/status:1 the server responded with a status of 401 (Unauthorized)

I tried to install a Chrome extension to disable the CSP on my browser but the problem persists.
Moreover, I can correctly access the device by SSH and even if I force a reboot the problem persists.

What can I do to solve the issue? I cannot access physically those devices.

Best regards,
Federico Caroli

Hello,

Could you please confirm if you are accessing the router’s WebUI via RMS?

Was this issue present in previous RutOS firmware versions?

If feasible, I recommend upgrading to the latest available RutOS firmware version, RUT9M_R_00.07.12, using the following SMS command sent to the router:
<admin password> fw_upgrade

Best regards,

Hi Martynas,
Yes I accessed the WebUI from RMS. Additionally, I attempted to do the same by means of a port forwarding tunnel created through another device directly connected to the router.

I think the problem appeared recently (so, with the version 7.11) because some months ago I had been able to upgrade them from the WebUI.

I will try to upgrade the devices and I will let you know.

Best regards,
Federico

Hi Martynas,
Upgrading the firmware of those devices seems having solved the issue.

Best regards,
Federico

Thank you for the update. Great to hear that the issue was resolved now.

If you need further assistance or have questions, feel free to reach out.

Kind regards,
