WAN as LAN RUT 950

Hi,

I’ve got one RUT 950. I am using the WAN port to provide an Internet connection to the RUT950 via a home router.

The home router (wired and WiFi) is configured as 192.168.3.x and the WAN got one IP in that range.

I am using a VPN to access the devices connected to the Ethernet ports of the RUT 950.

Why I cannot see all the devices connected to the home WiFi?

Also, when connected to the home WiFi, why I cannot see the devices connected to the RUT950.

Do I need to set WAN as LAN to consider it as one network? Will I lose the remote connection via internet?

How can I set it up as WAN as LAN ?

Thanks

Hello,

What type of VPN are you using?

For your case, you need to use static routing between the two routers. For everything to work correctly, you need to assign RUT950 a static address from the 192.168.3.x range.

You will also need to configure static routing on your home router.

LAN as WAN is not what you need. You can find more information here: LAN as WAN - Teltonika Networks Wiki

I am using Zerotier. I’ve already assigned a fixed IP address to the router.

How can I configure static routing please?

Thank you

Hello,
I’ll leave you the link to set up ZeroTier and teltonika devices.
link to ZeroTier routing: https://wiki.teltonika-ne tworks.com/view/ZeroTier_Configuration#ZeroTier_routing.

Also, if you want to see devices connected to the rut950 from a Wi-Fi network, you need to register a static route on your home router. You can see how to do this in the documentation for your home router. If you have not changed the standard network to rut950: Specify 192.168.1.0/24 as the destination and Enter 192.168.3.* (your static wan address of rut950) in the ‘via’ field.

Andrii.
