VPN Network Problem

Hello, I have 2 rutx50 with Wireguard VPN on a Fritzbox.
IP FB=192.168.17.1
IP_RUTCa=192.168.30.1
IP_RUTCb_192.168.1.1

I am connected to the RUTCa and would like to access network devices on the RUTCb.
What else do I have to configure for this to work?

Static routes?

Hello,

The configuration depends on what peer will be acting as a “server”, and what peers will be the “clients”.
If the FritzBox is the “server”, then most of the configuration will be done on it.
On the RUTX50 devices, create a new WireGuard instance, and configure it accordingly to this example: WireGuard Configuration Example - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Then add the RUTX50s as peers on Fritzbox and paste the public keys from RUTX50. Make sure all devices are in the same virtual network (e.g. 10.50.30.0/24), but have a different IP address assigned.
In the Allowed IPs section of the RUTX50, add the IP addresses that should be reached over the WireGuard tunnel (e.g. if your Fritzbox LAN is 192.168.50.0/24, this IP would need to be added on the RUTX50).
Let me know if any additional information is needed!

Best regards,
Daumantas G.

The problem with Wireguard is, that the RUTX50 needs a public IP (Telekom etc.) and NOT a private IP (O2 etc.) !
With a O2-SIM, this doesN´T work

An alternative is:

  1. Teltonika RMS-VPN or
  2. Zerotier (must bei packet-installed on RUTX !)

THIS works with private IP´s as well

The only problem is, JUST Zerotier works with a parallel Wirguard-VPN (with Surfshark or Nord-VPN), I didN´T get it running with RMS-VPN + Surfshark :frowning:

My constellation is:

  • Reaching my RUTX50 (Camper) from outside (Win-Computer or Android-Smartphone)
through zerotier (because RMS-VPN was NOT running prallel)
  • Streaming from Android-TV behind RUTX50 through Surfshark (with German IP)
