VPN HUB quick connect

Hello, I have a RUTM51 and I’m using the RMS VPN Hub with quick connect via the 5G network. To establish the connection on my phone with the VPN app, I usually need up to 5 attempts before the connection is successful. Otherwise, after about 15 seconds, it shows disconnected. What could be the reason for this? Once the connection is established, everything works.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your experience with RMS VPN Quick Connect. This issue with connection attempts sometimes requiring multiple tries before succeeding is already known to our RMS development team, and they are actively working toward resolving it in upcoming updates.

Additionally, could you please confirm whether you notice similar behavior when using a standard OpenVPN client app on your phone instead of the RMS VPN app?

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Thank you very much for the information. I cannot establish a connection with openVPN, neither with the URL nor with the VPN file. by url I tried the IP 3.65.167.143, and the VPN file fails to load with error messages. (Invalid Configuration, option_error: remote option not specified) Regards, Juergen
Just I tried 3.69.106.81, but no connection.

Today I tried it with the Windows OpenVPN client. Importing the file worked. This error message appears when establishing the connection:

Sun Jun 15 15:16:27 2025 SIGUSR1[soft,tls-error] received, process restarting
Sun Jun 15 15:16:29 2025 TCP/UDP: Preserving recently used remote address: [AF_INET]3.65.167.143:54643

I have a network, the PC is connected to a cell phone. The internet works.

Best regards,

Since I wrote my post, someone has contacted me,
saying that work should also be carried out under a ticker number,
but the error still persists. After a few moments,
it disconnects. Now it always happens. I just installed the latest firmware.
I also tried the quick connect. After 2-3 attempts, it suddenly works and remains stable.
