VoLTE on Teltonika modems

Hi,
Do Teltonika modems support VoLTE?

We are building a PLC system that will make a call to the owner, as an alarm notification. There will be also a phone application to view PLC parameters.

The LTE modem must have the functionality of calling and sharing data the same time.
We have read that modems must switch between GSM (to make a call) and LTE (to share data). To avoid this, the solution is VoLTE. Then the calling notification will be carried out via LTE, as in smartphones.

Do your modems support VoLTE?
I see last firmware update was about VoLTE. Is this mature technology?
We don’t need audio stream. Only calling functionality to wake up the owner.

Thank you.

Best,
Mykeil

Hello,
Yes, you can take this as reference - RUT241 Mobile - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Hello,

Our devices have a VoIP passthrough option, which means that the device can pass the traffic. The device is not able to act as a VoIP endpoint (e.g., mobile phone), though.

Most of the time, calls on our devices are used for alert options (e.g., executing a certain action once the router receives a call). On the other hand, our router can also execute calls, which can be done via the command line via the use of scripts to send a trigger.

The VoLTE setting can be enabled under WebUI → Network → Mobile settings, a Wiki page can be found here to make it simpler for you: RUT241 Mobile - Teltonika Networks Wiki

As for the command in SSH, it looks like this:
gsmctl -A “ATDXXXXXXXXXXX;”
X represents your country code + phone number.
