I am looking at replacing my outdoor cellular router (currently I have Zyxel I am not entirely happy with).
Looking at either an OTD500, or a RUTM52 or RUTM54.
All three have eSIM support which I want, as that means no more getting out the ladder to change a sim…
The OTD500 looks interesting, as I would not have to obtain a separate antanna enclosure.
But when I compare the features of the three together I see that the OTD500 does not support VLAN tagging. And that is something I need as well. And I find this odd, as VLANs are done by the OS, and as far as I can see all three devices run the same software…
So is there really not VLAN support on the OTD500? Or is that just a mistake in the data on the website?
Thank you for reaching out and for bringing this to our attention.
You are correct—there was an error in the data on our website. I have forwarded this information to the responsible department for correction. We appreciate your feedback.
Regarding your inquiry, the OTD500 supports both Port-based and Tag-based VLANs. You will be able to configure them without any issues. For detailed guidance on VLAN configuration, please refer to our wiki: OTD500 VLAN - Teltonika Networks Wiki.
