Using TRB140 as a simple network client device for sending SMS messages

I was recommended to use TRB140 as a simple gateway for sending SMS messages.

In our network we would like the TRB140 to be just a regular DHCP client, run a little script, use the internet via its ethernet port to fetch some messages from our servers, and if necessary send alerts and other messages to our admins. If need to be, static ip address will work too.

So, we don’t need it to do any routing, nor dhcp, or provide any connectivity for any other clients. I have disabled firewall, dhcp, nat, and rewritten the network config, but everytime it boots, it can not be found anywhere in the network. I’ve scanned the network, but no, it does not seem to appear anywhere, so we have to make again and again factory reset and re-try.

So, how can I do it?

Hello,

If you are still experiencing this issue, I recommend using the default modem settings.

Additionally, for more information about the TRB140 and configuration examples, I suggest visiting our wiki page here: TRB140 Configuration Examples.

Best regards,
