I have a RUTX11 which I updated and set up in RMS before sending it away to a remote site. It has now been installed and is working well.
I logged onto it via RMS and saw that it wanted the firmware upgraded from RUTX_R_00.07.07.2. I downloaded the current mass firmware and confirmed it’s checksum is correct:
MD5 (RUTX_R_00.07.08.3_WEBUI.bin) = 08717f5680d0b3b43aa06053cab40e78
I uploaded this via RMS and it gets to 100% before saying:
“File is being processed . . .”
then it starts uploading again in a loop until I reboot the router.
I am concerned that even when I’m on site in a few months that I’ll have the same issue.
Is it a “feature” of RUTX_R_00.07.07.2 or of RUTX_R_00.07.08.3
The router is running communications for a remote solar array and battery system in South australia where the local electricity company throttles exports if there is no communication with the system over the Internet.
Could you please try upgrading the router to the latest firmware version, RUTX_R_00.07.10, as it includes major bug fixes and service improvements? This may resolve the issue you’re experiencing with the upgrade loop.
You can download the latest firmware for the RUTX11 from here.

Partial success. I chose to upgrade from the server (7.10). The file verified and went straight into “upgrading . . .” with a spinning circle, where it’s still stuck at. I guess the only thing I can let it do is time-out this connection, connect again in a new session and see what is on the screen.
It’s completely normal for the device to enter the “Upgrading” process after the firmware image is downloaded or uploaded from the server or file. This process can take several minutes, including the device reboot. During this time, please avoid powering off the device. Once the upgrade is completed, your firmware should be successfully updated.
