Hello,
I urgently need assistance regarding our existing support ticket #626333.
I am already working with a Teltonika support engineer on this case. However, I am currently in the United States for an on-site customer deployment, and due to the significant time difference with my assigned support engineer, it is difficult to receive further assistance during my current working hours.
Since this issue is urgently blocking our customer deployment and I cannot wait until the next available support window, I am reaching out here in hopes that another available support engineer can assist us as soon as possible.
Teltonika Support previously informed us that the current modem firmware M0R.100005 has a known issue with U.S. operators, and instructed us to update the Telit FN990A-A28 modem to M0R.100006.
The modem updater correctly detects:
Modem: Telit FN990A-A28
USB ID: 2-1
Current firmware: M0R.100005
Available firmware: FN990A-A28_M0R.100006_C0R.000100
However, the firmware update cannot proceed because the updater cannot access the firmware directory on the Teltonika FOTA server.
I have confirmed that the router now has a working and stable Internet connection. DNS is working, and HTTPS access to modemfota.teltonika-networks.com returns HTTP 200 OK.
When running:
modem_updater -D -i 2-1 -v FN990A-A28_M0R.100006_C0R.000100
I receive:
read: Connection reset by peer
[ERROR] Firmware directory is empty. Exiting...
I also manually tested the SSHFS connection used by modem_updater. The connection to modemfota.teltonika-networks.com on port 21 is closed with:
Remote closed the connection
read: Connection reset by peer
Therefore, Internet connectivity itself is working, but the SSHFS/SFTP connection used to retrieve the Telit firmware is failing.
Could you please urgently help with either of the following?
1. Resolve/enable the SSHFS/FOTA server access so I can perform the normal modem update, or
2. Provide the official FN990A-A28_M0R.100006_C0R.000100 firmware package and the exact instructions/command to perform the update locally using the -p <path> option.
I apologize for contacting support separately while another engineer is already handling the ticket, but due to the time-zone difference and the urgency of the on-site customer deployment, I am trying to find any available support engineer who can help us proceed today.
Same-day assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your help.
