Upgraded to 7.11, Tailscale issues

I updated my RUTX11 to RUTOS 00.07.11 today, and I cannot get my Tailscale connection to come back up. On the Services → VPN → Tailscale page the “Tailscale status” just shows a spinner.

I have tried removing the Tailscale package and reinstalling and that made no difference, have also tried the basics like a router reboot.

Attempting to run this from the CLI gives:

root@Teltonika-RUTX11:~# tailscale up
Segmentation fault

Are there log files somewhere that might provide more information into where this is failing?

Same problem for me, I’m on a RUTX50.

Do we have a timescale for Firmware 7.11.1 being available please?

Should I downgrade to an earlier firmware until the new version is available?

Hello,

There is no specific release date for firmware version 7.11.1 yet, but it is expected to be available soon.

In the meantime, you can downgrade to an earlier firmware version to resolve the issue. Alternatively, if you prefer, I can provide a temporary solution for Tailscale on version 7.11 until the new firmware is released.

If you’d like to proceed with the current solution, please fill out the form I’ve sent you (for ticket ID, use “10670-4”). Once submitted, I’ll contact you privately with the necessary steps.

Hi Martynas,

I’ve downgraded the firmware to the last version and tailscale is back working. I would prefer to have the new/current firmware (and its fixes) if you have a tailscale working version please.

I’ve not received a form from you? Would it be by email or message in the forum?

Hi there,

I’ve resent the form—could you please confirm if you have received it? It should arrive in your email inbox.

Hi,

Yes I’ve received it. Just completing it now. Thank you.

Hi Martynas. How did you send this form? By email? I didn’t receive anything.

Hello, I’m here for this hotfix as well please. Is there a new(er) package that can be installed that doesn’t segfault on 7.11?

@DwainPipe if you have it, would you mind sharing details of the workaround?

Hello everyone,

This Tailscale issue has now been officially resolved with the release of firmware version 7.11.1.
