Upgrade from RUT2M_R_00.07.21.3 to RUT2M_R_00.07.22.1 results in loss of all Services/Mobile Utilities/SMS Utilities/SMS rules

Problems:

  1. Upgrade from RUT2M_R_00.07.21.3 to RUT2M_R_00.07.22.1 results in loss of all Services/Mobile Utilities/SMS Utilities/SMS rules
  2. Manually entering replacement rules after upgrading firmware results in an error.
  3. I will never be able to upgrade to RUT2M_R_00.07.22.1 if this problem is not resolved.

Actions Taken:

  1. Rebooting did not resolve the issue.
  2. I had to restore RUT2M_R_00.07.21.3 firmware and config backup to restore lost functionality.

Questions:

  1. Is this a known problem?
  2. Is there a workaround?
  3. Can I provide any additional information?

Hi,

I don’t use this feature except in emergency cases but the list still present on the 7.22.1 firmware in my case (two TRB140, others not yet upgraded).

Have you tried to send SMS to check if the feature remains functional despite the empty list ?

I not the columns can be hidden/shown in “Visible columns” option (on top of the list). Also “item per pages” (bottom of the list) can be checked. Is it set to aberrant value such 0 ?

Thanks for responding to my post.

SMS functionality (both sending and receiving texts worked fine after upgrading to RUT2M_R_00.07.22.1. The SMS rules themselves where NOT retained during the upgrade and I was unable to manually re-create them. Trying to do so resulted in a red error in the GUI. Since I need SMS rules, I had to revert back to my prior version and restore from backup.

It would be really nice if someone from Teltonika would be kind enough to respond to this post. I purchased my modem from Amazon so, apparently I’m unable to create an actual help desk ticket. :frowning:
