What can I do with the profinet integration of the TWS212? I’ve configured the switch in a profinet network with a Siemens 1200 plc and all is up & running and I can see it going up or down. But I’d expected some switch io-data to map to the plc or the ability to retrieve diagnostics. Looking at the gdsml file doesn’t reveal anything.
In short, why would I integrate the switch in a profinet, what functions can I expect from it? I have the feelling this is short on documentation?
Also missing in this switch is traffic and performance info (apart from a mouse over a port). Can I installl nmap, iperf, tcpdump, tshark?
MTU jumbo frames seems limited to a mini-jumbo of ca. 1540 bytes?
