TSW202 ssh access after upgrade

Hi,

after upgrade to TSW2_R_00.01.02.2 I lost SSH access to TSW202.
Upgrade was done with setings preservation.
SSH client is able start autnetication, but then it will fail.

I was able to use root@switchip with admin password before upgrade.
I noticed “Enable SSH access” in admin account setup, so I turned it on.
Neither root@switchip or admin@switchip works.
I tried to change password through WebUI several times.

There are not any log entries regarding SSH in webUI with exception of previous sucessfull SSH login with previous firmware version like:
Password auth succeeded for root from 192.168.8.65:37496

Please advice.

Thank you.

Regards,
Michal

Hi Michal,

  1. Can you please check if you can access CLI (command line) via webUI? Here is the link of how to open CLI:

  2. Can you please advise what kind of configuration you had before the firmware upgrade? This could be a software migration issue; therefore, you might need to reset the switch to its default settings as a last resort:

Please note, if you have the device locally accessible, and the configuration is not complicated, you could reset the switch to factory setting, this might be the easiest way to fix the issue.

  3. Could you please download the troubleshoot file and forward it to me? To download the troubleshoot file please navigate to System → Maintenance-> Troubleshoot → Download Troubleshoot

Since we don’t have a way to directly share the logs on this forum, i have sent you an instruction of another forum of ours, please follow the instructions I had sent to you and share us the logs in that platform.

Thanks & Regards,
Thomas
