TSW202 HTTP/S access from other subnets

Hi everyone,

I have just installed a TSW202 to replace a failing D-Link. The TSW is on a VLAN dedicated to network hardware (10.30.20.x) while our endpoints are located on their own VLAN (10.30.30.x). I could access the old D-Link just fine, so I know inter-VLAN routing isn’t an issue.

I notice the switches in the web interface say ‘Local’ access, does this mean only in the same Subnet? And if so, how can I enable non-local access? I can access the web interface if I force my PC to be in that same subnet, but that is not practical for remote support, for example.

I’m not able to use other remote management tools in our current environment.

Unless I’m missing something altogether?

Thanks!

Hi there,

If you still haven’t figured this out yet, please let me know the following:

  • How exactly do you want to access the TSW202? Is the device (PC, for example) you want to access not directly connected to the TSW202 or any other device that might be connected to it?
  • What is the device that the VLANs are set up on?
  • Is port-forwarding an option here?

Regards,
M.
