TSW101 Not Working

Hello, I am working on a fairly large project. We are using the Teltonika TSW101. We have implemented 32 of these switches, and every single one locks up and prevents any traffic from being sent/received, after 1 hour of uptime. We used another brand of switches to test functionality of our infrastructure, and had zero issues.

In our Teltonika TSW101 set up, we have two switches connected, 5 POE cameras, and one server. Power is from a low voltage panel, using 24v dc. Nothing too complicated or large, but it seems as if the TSW101s are complete garbage and really just expensive paper weight.

I hope for a quick response before we return 300+ switches back to Teltonika.

Hello,

What kind of traffic is being sent/received? Is all of it being blocked? Is there anything else that doesn’t work besides the traffic?

I must say, since the TSW101 isn’t a managed switch, troubleshooting the issue won’t be as easy as logging into the WebUI and changing or checking some settings; the root cause may be something else, perhaps some kind of incompatibility between our and your devices? When it comes to, say, powering the cameras via our switch - does that work properly? If it doesn’t, I would suspect it’s because there are different PoE standards on the cameras and our switches:

Oddly enough, from what you’ve mentioned, and from what I understood, it works for ~1 hour & immediately stops right after? What kind of environment is this being used in? Could you perhaps provide a topology of how everything is connected and what data is being sent where?

Regards,
M.
