TRM240 AT+COPS=3 CME ERROR 3 and UPGRADE

Hello,

On some installation I receive CME ERROR 3 when I try to get COPS (AT+COPS=?), after ~3 minutes

(The modem is correctyl connected to internet, I can send SMS, everything is wroking well excepts AT+COPS=?)

What does that mean ?

Is there a way to upgrade TRM240 firmware ?

Thanks for your support

I tried other AT command from your documentation
https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Network_Service_Commands_TRM240#AT.2BCOPN_Read_Operator_Names

AT+CPOL
AT+COPN

All give me CME ERROR 3

Hello,

CME ERROR 3 means that the operation you are performing is not allowed.
Perhaps there is something in common on the sites that you are receiving this error?
You could try resetting the AT command settings to the factory defaults by running AT&F, and checking if CME ERROR 3 still appears.

Best regards,

Thanks for your answer, I tried AT&F and I still have CME ERROR 3

No I don’t think so, do you think it can be related to a SIM card limitation ?

I haven’t seen this issue before, so it’s hard to say. Perhaps you could try this device on a different PC to check if perhaps the modem manager handling is at fault here?
